The caretaker, Mary, was a gem, making us feel right at home and going the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable. The cottage, though quaint, was undergoing modern updates, with new beds and fresh linens that added a touch of luxury to its rustic charm.The inclusion of essential amenities like ironing facilities and tea/coffee provisions was a thoughtful gesture, while the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals, saving on dining out expenses. The peaceful setting and the pet-friendly policy made it a perfect retreat for our furry companion.Although the value for money was reasonable, some may find the pricing slightly on the higher side compared to similar accommodations in the area. However, the tranquil surroundings, proximity to local attractions, and Mary's exceptional hospitality make Lake Cottages a worthy indulgence for those seeking a cozy getaway with a hint of Irish allure.
